Kerwin: $1 Million in Grant Fund Allocated to 125th District
July 17, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin) announced today $1 million in state funding, from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), was awarded to a project within the 125th District.
RACP funding was awarded to the Harrisburg Christian School in Lower Paxton Township to build a new addition to the school’s campus. The new addition will house three early-learning classrooms, a media center and a collaborative hallway that will serve as a central gathering area for students and the community. RACP funds will support general construction, HVAC work, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work and site improvements.
“Securing this funding marks an important step forward for Dauphin County,” said Kerwin. “This project will strengthen our community by expanding educational resources and supporting long-term economic growth. By collaborating with our local education leaders, I am looking forward to seeing the positive impact this investment will bring to 125th District.”
Funding for the project was authorized by lawmakers in the Capital Budget Project Itemization Act.
RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects. These projects have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues or other measures of economic activity. RACP projects are funded by the state and cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.
