HARRISBURG – The office of state Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin) announced two Dauphin County projects received a combined $330,000 in state grant funding from the Commonwealth Financing Agency (CFA).
The CFA awarded $250,000 to the Dauphin Middle Paxton Joint Park Authority to undertake the renovation of the community pool in Dauphin Borough.
The agency also allocated $80,000 to West Hanover Township for costs associated with the implementation of a study for the potential trail network connectivity throughout the township. The goal is to determine the best route to provide connections throughout the township to increase accessibility to local outdoor recreation sites for residents.
This funding comes from the CFA’s Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program. This initiative funds projects for planning, acquisition, development, rehabilitation and repair of greenways, recreational trails, open spaces and parks.
